Hungarian Beef Stew - Slow Cooker Style

Total Time: 8 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/4 lbs beef chuck
  • 1 lb carrot, sliced
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 3 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 (8 ounce) package onion and mushroom soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • serve with egg noodles

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients except sour cream and noodles in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker.
  • 2 cook and cover on low 8 hours until tender. turn off cooker and stir in sour cream until well blended.
  • 3 cook noodles of your choice and serve over.
