Hardy's Rock-n-roll Cabbage (sweet And Spicy)

Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 head of fresh cabbage, cut into bite size chunks
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 habanero, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 ounces light beer
  • 1 onion, cut in less than bite size pieces
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (7 ounce) can diced green chilies (optional)
  • 2 granny smith apples, finely sliced

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients together in a large sauce pan and bring to a hard boil.
  • 2 stir and poke until contents soften and start to submerge in liquids.
  • 3 reduce the heat, cover and let simmer until the cabbage is limp but still crunches when you bite it.
  • 4 serve immediately.
