Peppery Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/4 small head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 carrot, peeled and coarsely grated
- 1/2 red bell pepper, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Recipe
- 1 heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, and add oil.
- 2 saute garlic for about 5 seconds, then add ground beef. stir-fry until beef is evenly brown.
- 3 stir in cabbage, carrot and pepper, and cook until vegetables are tender and beef is fully cooked.
- 4 stir in soy sauce.
