Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

- 2 heads cabbage
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 lbs ground lamb
- salt
- pepper
- onion powder
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 2 (16 ounce) cans sauerkraut
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 3 -4 slices bacon
- water
Recipe
- 1 steam cabbage, remove leaves, and de-vein.
- 2 mix ground beef and ground lamb well.
- 3 add salt, pepper, and onion powder to taste.
- 4 mix in uncooked rice.
- 5 roll meat and rice mixture in cabbage leaves tucking ends closed.
- 6 place in large pot.
- 7 fill pot with water just to cover cabbage rolls.
- 8 add sauerkraut, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
- 9 place bacon on top.
- 10 bring to boil on top of stove.
- 11 cook on low heat approximately 2 hours or until rice is soft and fluffy.
