Emeril's Lamb Dumplings With Spicy Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (green only)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 24 small wonton wrappers
  • napa cabbage, to line steamer
  • soy sauce, for dipping
  • chili oil, for dipping

Recipe

  • 1 combine lamb through sesame oil. in a separate bowl, combine constarch and water. place 1 tablespoon lamb mixture in the center of the wonton. using fingers, moisten the edges of the wrapper with cornstarch/water mixture. bring edges up over filling and press to seal.
  • 2 line steamer with cabbage leaves and place wontons 1/2 inch apart. steam dumplings until cooked through, tender and translucent in color - approximately 10 minutes. serve with soy sauce seasoned with chile oil to taste.
