Regina's Lazy Golamki (lazy Cabbage Rolls)

Total Time: 2 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked long-grain rice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 medium green bell pepper
  • 1 (4 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 medium head of cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup bacon bits
  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans tomato soup

Recipe

  • 1 cook rice according to package directions.
  • 2 saute beef with onion and green pepper. mix in tomato sauce and bacon bits. add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 chop cabbage in 1/2-inch pieces.
  • 4 spray a large baking dish.
  • 5 layer in 1/2 of chopped cabbage, spread meat mixture over cabbage and top with remaining cabbage; pour tomato soup over top.
  • 6 cover with tin foil and bake at 350*f for 1-1/2 hours or until cabbage is tender.
