Sensational Salad

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15
  • 1 head chinese cabbage
  • 1 bunch green onion
  • 2 1/2 ounces sesame seeds
  • 2 1/4 ounces almonds, sliced
  • 2 -3 ounces ramen noodles
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 rinse cabbage, slice and chop onions and cabbage.
  • 2 combine these two ingredients in a large bowl and chill until just prior to serving.
  • 3 break noodles into tiny pieces, while still in the bags, remove seasoning packets (do not use them).
  • 4 saute noodles, sesame seeds, garlic in oil until lightly browned; add salt and pepper. store in refrigerator.
  • 5 combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and oil and boil for no more than 1 minute. store in refrigerator.
  • 6 just before serving, combine everything and toss gently.
  • 7 note: you may also add cooked chicken and/or orange slices.
