Sauteed Cabbage

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon pre-minced garlic (jarred)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • splenda sugar substitute, to taste
  • red pepper flakes, to taste
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag spinach (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 chop cabbage.
  • 2 saute in olive oil, adding more oil when (and if) necessary, till cabbage begins to wilt and brown a bit.
  • 3 add the garlic (more if you like).
  • 4 mix to combine.
  • 5 season with salt, pepper, splenda and red pepper flakes.
  • 6 top with spinach.
  • 7 cover to allow spinach to wilt.
  • 8 serve immediately -- but delicious cold, as well.
