Easy Egg Rolls

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 80
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 4 (16 ounce) packages coleslaw mix
  • 80 egg roll wraps
  • 1 teaspoon chinese five spice powder
  • 1 large onion, diced fine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 brown ground beef and lamb. don't drain!
  • 2 mix in the salt and pepper , garlic powder , onion, chinese five spice and coleslaw mix.
  • 3 cook over low heat until cabbage is tender. (mine took approximately 20 minutes on low heat).
  • 4 drain and cool in a strainer.
  • 5 fill egg rolls, fold and seal.(directions come with the egg roll wrappers).
  • 6 fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. i can't tell you how long this particular method takes. i spread vegetable oil on my cookie sheets , rolled the egg rolls in it , and baked in a 375° oven for 10 minutes , turned them over , baked an additional 10 minutes.
