Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 5 cups cabbage, shredded finely
- 1 cup carrot, shredded finely
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chicken broth, hot
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/3 cup pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Recipe
- 1 put cabbage, carrots, onion, salt and pepper in saute pan.
- 2 pour hot chicken broth over the veggies, add more water as needed.
- 3 cover and bring to boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
- 4 simmer until veggies are tender ( i cook mine about 45 minutes, but it depends on how done you like your cabbage).
- 5 melt butter in small pan. stir in pecans and mustard.
- 6 toss to coat.
- 7 transfer veggies to serving dish, top with butter and pecan mix, then sprinkle with paprika. enjoy.
