Ham Hodgepodge

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 6 large carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and chopped (3 cups)
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups ham, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, undrained

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except the garbanzo beans in a dutch oven.
  • 2 bring to boil.
  • 3 cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  • 4 stir in the undrained garbanza beans.
  • 5 cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes more.
  • 6 add more water if needed.
