Hot Skillet Bacon, Apple & Cole Slaw

Ingredients

- 1 slice bacon
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 small apple, pared and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Recipe
- 1 in 1-quart saucepan, fry bacon till crisp; drain; reserve drippings; crumble bacon.
- 2 add onion to bacon drippings and cook 2 minutes.
- 3 stir in vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, sugar, salt and pepper.
- 4 bring just to boiling.
- 5 add cabbage and apple, toss to coat.
- 6 cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until cabbage just wilts.
- 7 stir in sour cream; top with crumbled bacon.
