Hot Skillet Bacon, Apple & Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 slice bacon
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 small apple, pared and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 in 1-quart saucepan, fry bacon till crisp; drain; reserve drippings; crumble bacon.
  • 2 add onion to bacon drippings and cook 2 minutes.
  • 3 stir in vinegar, 1 tablespoon water, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • 4 bring just to boiling.
  • 5 add cabbage and apple, toss to coat.
  • 6 cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until cabbage just wilts.
  • 7 stir in sour cream; top with crumbled bacon.
