Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 small onion, shredded
  • celery seed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place cabbage, carrot and onion in a bowl that can be covered.
  • 2 sprinkle with celery seed.
  • 3 bring to a boil the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  • 4 pour boiling mixture over veggies. do not stir veggies.
  • 5 cover and refrigerate overnight or for about 6 to 8 hours.
