Polish Pasta And Cabbage

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, peeled chopped or thinly sliced
  • salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 8 ounces farfalle pasta
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 add the onion and saute until transparent.
  • 3 add the cabbage and saute for 5 minutes (or until tender).
  • 4 stir in the caraway seeds (optional), salt and pepper.
  • 5 meanwhile, cook the noodles in salted water as directed on package.
  • 6 do not overcook.
  • 7 drain well.
  • 8 stir the noodles into the onion/cabbage and add the sour cream.
  • 9 cook five minutes longer (until heated through), stirring frequently.
