Freezer Coleslaw

Total Time: 1 hr 32 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 30 mins Cook Time: 2 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded about 10 cups
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds

Recipe

  • 1 in large bowl, combine veggies with salt.
  • 2 let stand 1 hour.
  • 3 place remaining ingredients in pan and boil for 1 minute.
  • 4 cool.
  • 5 drain veggies and add to vinegar mixture.
  • 6 stir gently.
  • 7 ladle into freezer containers or bags.
