Shoney's Cabbage Beef Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, drained
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 (13 3/4 ounce) cans beef broth
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can kidney beans
- 1/2 medium cabbage, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste (optional)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 chop the tomatoes and reserve the juice.
- 2 brown the beef with the onions.
- 3 drain the fat.
- 4 add the beef broth, beans, tomatoes, and juice and tomatoe paste if desired.
- 5 add the cabbage, and simmer till tender.
- 6 add salt and pepper.
