Shoney's Cabbage Beef Soup

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, drained
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 (13 3/4 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can kidney beans
  • 1/2 medium cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste (optional)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 chop the tomatoes and reserve the juice.
  • 2 brown the beef with the onions.
  • 3 drain the fat.
  • 4 add the beef broth, beans, tomatoes, and juice and tomatoe paste if desired.
  • 5 add the cabbage, and simmer till tender.
  • 6 add salt and pepper.
