Potato & Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb cabbage (small head, cored and sliced)
  • 3 russet potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 1 cup cooked ham (diced, lean)
  • 6 cups chicken broth or 6 cups stock
  • 1 cup half-and-half

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except half-and-half in slow cooker.
  • 2 cover. cook on high for 6 hours.
  • 3 remove 2 cups vegetables and 1 cup liquid from cooker and puree in blender. return to cooker and stir in half-and-half. cook 20 minutes more.
