Ingredients

- 3 cups water
- 1 lb beef stew meat
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup sliced carrot
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 (14 ounce) can italian tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans
- 10 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup sliced zucchini
Recipe
- 1 place water and meat in slow cooker. add remaining ingredients except for frozen vegetables and zucchini.
- 2 cover and cook on low for 10 hours. add vegetables and zucchini during last hour of cooking.
- 3 remove from slow cooker and allow to cool. place in freezer bag. label and freeze.
- 4 to serve: thaw. heat until hot and bubbly. serve topped with parmesan cheese.
