Minestrone Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 1/3 cups onions, chopped
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup frozen carrots, sliced
  • 5 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup canned red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen green beans
  • 11 cups water
  • 2 cups spaghetti, broken, uncooked

Recipe

  • 1 add all ingredients except spaghetti in a 4 quart pot, and stir until ingredients are well mixed.
  • 2 bring to a boil. reduce heat, cover and simmer about 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • 3 add uncooked spaghetti and simmer for another thee to five minutes.
