Cabbage Casserole

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 cups sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups buttered bread crumbs

Recipe

  • 1 shred cabbage.
  • 2 cook 5-8 minutes in salted water. keep the cabbage crisp.
  • 3 mix butter with bread crumbs and set aside.
  • 4 drain cabbage.
  • 5 layer half the cabbage in a 2 quart baking dish.
  • 6 cover with half the sauce and half the cheese.
  • 7 repeat layer.
  • 8 top with bread crumbs.
  • 9 bake 15-20 minutes at 300°.
