Susan Marie's Cabbage & Potatoes

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 onion, small, chopped
- 5 red potatoes, diced
- 1 head green cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup water, hot
- 8 ounces ham, chunks
- fresh ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon celery salt (approximate)
- 1 teaspoon pepper (approximate)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin (approximate)
Recipe
- 1 in large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. add butter & melt.
- 2 add onion and potatoes to skillet; stir & cook until browned over medium to medium high heat.
- 3 add chopped cabbage, stir fry until starting to wilt.
- 4 add water.
- 5 allow to cook over medium to medium high heat until cabbage is wilted and potatoes are tender. add seasonings and ham. stir to heat ham through.
- 6 you may add salt & pepper to your taste after cooking. seasonings are approximate--you may adjust to your taste preference.
