Hawaiian Coleslaw

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 cups fresh shredded green cabbage
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange sections
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice (from canned oranges)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

Recipe

  • 1 shred cabbage into large bowl.
  • 2 drain orange sections, but reserve the juice.
  • 3 drain and measure the pineapple.
  • 4 add salt and spices to shredded cabbage.
  • 5 add the orange juice from the oranges and add the ground pepper.
  • 6 toss lightly.
  • 7 add the drained fruit, tossing all with a fork.
  • 8 stir in the mayonnaise.
  • 9 chill well before serving.
