Mustard Braised Sausage & Potato Skillet

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 14 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 small onion, quartered and sliced
  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated potatoes
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped green cabbage
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed

Recipe

  • 1 coat a large skillet with cooking spray, butter, or oil.
  • 2 add sausage and cook over med-high heat, stirring often, until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • 3 remove sausage and set aside.
  • 4 add onion, potato and cabbage to pan. cook, stirring often, 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 5 return sausage to pan.
  • 6 add beer and remaining ingredients. cook about 4 minutes or until liquid is almost evaporated.
