Carrie's Yummy Skillet Fried Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 medium heads of cabbage
- 1 vidalia onion
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 lb bacon
Recipe
- 1 cut and core cabbage. cut cabbage like you.
- 2 would for coleslaw.
- 3 rinse cabbage. cut onion into thin slices.
- 4 while cabbage is draining cook bacon, leaving the fat in the skillet, reserve bacon to a dish . layer cabbage, onion, salt,pepper, sugar(to help caramelize cabbage), and butter until all of the cabbage is in the pan.
- 5 cook under med to low heat until cabbage begins to.
- 6 shrink. every 5-10 minutes, stir cabbage.
- 7 when cabbage has shrunk, turn heat up to high and fry.
- 8 cabbage will caramelize a little, that is ok.
- 9 crumble reserved bacon on top serve hot!
