Ingredients

- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, shredded (optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, heat oil, sugar,vinegar,mustard, salt and celery seed and bring to a rolling boil.
- 2 pour the hot mixture over the vegetables, stirring well to combine.
- 3 let stand in the refrigerator for 24 hours before serving.
