Cabbage, Bacon And Sausage Bake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup virgin olive oil
  • 1 cabbage
  • 8 sausages
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 chop the onion place into a deep oven proof dish.
  • 2 pour in the oil.
  • 3 chop the cabbage in 1/2 then in 1/2 again, 1/2 these again; you should have about 16 thin wedges.
  • 4 place these wedges into the dish.
  • 5 prick the sausages skins and place on top of the cabbage wedges.
  • 6 place bacon slices on top of this layer.
  • 7 fill with chicken stock.
  • 8 salt and pepper.
  • 9 if you prefer you could cut all the ingredients up smaller for a quicker cooking time.
  • 10 bake in gas 4 oven covered for 50 minutes.
