Country Cabbage Casserole

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 slices bread
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Recipe

  • 1 toast the bread and crumble.
  • 2 cook the cabbage for 8 minutes in salted water drain.
  • 3 preheat oven to 350.
  • 4 fry bacon until crisp.
  • 5 sautee onion and pepper until soft.
  • 6 toss everything together in a casserole dish and bake for about 25 minutes.
